The Chiapas Project
We have a long-term partnership with the Chiapas Project, a Chicago-based mission to the Diocese of Southeast Mexico. Through this relationship we participate in building numerous community ministries in this Diocese. Members of our parish are also able to visit this exciting work.
Through the Chiapas Scholarship Program, we collect money to assist children across this region with the funds and materials needed to stay in school. Each child who receives a scholarship must maintain a level of academic achievement as well as provide a service project to their community.
Learn more about the important work being done in Chiapas through our newsletter, “Llevando el Evangelio a través del Pan y la Tortilla,” or Bringing the Gospel by Bread and Tortilla.
The Chiapas Project Food Pantry is supported by donations from The Church of the Atonement, St Chrysostom’s Church, Church of the Holy Comforter, and Church of Our Saviour in Chicago.
